These wonderful time-lapse sequences were taken by Ron Garan, Satoshi Furukawa and the crew of expeditions 28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from August to October 2011 and edited by Michael König.

By combining time-lapse photography and video material, Benjamin Sichert reveals the magical atmosphere that haunts these old factory buildings. The footage shows the oldest motor plant in the world, that was founded in 1864 by Eugen Langen and August Otto in Cologne, Germany, and marks the beginning of Deutz AG. Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach worked here from 1876 in a management position. Unfortunately, the building will soon be demolished to create space for a new cable factory.
It is interesting to note that Benjamin uses a selfmade miniature Dolly (motorized camera slider) to create smooth camera movements and also sells different versions as entry level models for time-lapse photography and video filming.

London-based cameraman, editor and motion graphics designer Stefan Werc produced this atmospheric time-lapse photography of Tokyo by night.
The pictures are shot with a Canon 7D and edited in Adobe After Effects. Broadcast 2000 provides the sound track with the song “Get Up And Go”.

Another great example of time-lapse photography is the music video for the song "Her Morning Elegance" from the album "The Opposite Side of the Sea" by Israeli singer, songwriter, playwright and theatre director Oren Lavie.
American photographer and filmmaker Sean Stiegemeier shot this impressive time-lapse photography of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption on May 1st and 2nd, 2010.
So I saw all of these mediocre pictures of that volcano in Iceland nobody can pronounce the name of, so I figured I should go and do better. But the flights to get over took forever as expected (somewhat). 4 days after leaving I finally made it, but the weather was terrible for another 4. Just before leaving it got pretty good for about a day and a half and this is what I managed to get.
Wish I had more time. I missed all the cool Lightning and the Lava of the first eruption. But I figure this will just be a trial run for another day.
